Emmanuel Benazech, born in April 1965, works to the Reprocessing Center of the Nuclear Combustibles. We divide the same feline passion. He is a sweet and attentive dad with our children. He is handyman, traveler, collector of all things, fascinated by computers, hi-fi, movies...

Marlène Benazech, born in April 1975, breeder, married and mum. I have a diploma of International Trade and I use my knowledges to fully live my feline passion while taking care of my 2 young sons at home.
I am equally fascinated by a lot of things, music, movies : The Lord of the Rings, human psychology, canine behaviour within the hounds...

Our Child Rémy Benazech, born in November 2000 is the love of our life, our first passion. He is a quiet, soft, funny, liking child, very attracted by the kittens. He participates to their socialization.


Lukas Benazech, born in December 2003 is the copy of his brother with a spiciest behaviour. He is the extension of our happiness.

Creation of the cattery « Les Petites Bavardes »
We bought our first pet, a female siamese blue point named Opium in 1998 while doing the classified ads. And our fist orienal chocolat blotched tabby named Pitchounette in 1999.
We had our first litter in summer 2000. What a great adventure!!

Our breeding program
In 2002, we did our first importations of cats and welcomed our first cinnamon studs.
I am fascinated by the pedigrees and lines and launch my breeding program: to work actively the cinnamon color and his dilution (fawn). The cinnamon is a recessive gene, both parents must be carriers for the color to express itself, therefore our breeding program will be to create many new lines of cinnamon while making carriers of cinnamon.

Every cinnamon or fawn will be mated with a non-cinnamon in order to introduce lines and interesting types. We import cats of the whole world for the variety of lines and for the beauty of the type.

There are Beautiful cats in France with excellents pedigrees but the catteries remain closed. A lot of breeders do not sell to their colleagues, castrate the kittens at 2 months to avoid the dispersion of their lines, do not authorize the studs services to their males. We do not buy abroad by megalomania but by necessity and because we have not the possibility to do otherwise to advance without inbreeding and share our work with great people.

Our vision of the breeding such as we practice it
The breeding is not a lucrative activity but a passion. We are lucky to live this passion without that it doesn't cost us too much. We can import wonderful cats, offer the better veterinary cares to our cheptel, the better nutrition and the biggest comfort.

The number does not do the quality but does not prevent it no more. All depends on motivation, time and space that we have. We are family breeders, more important than others but we don't consider ourselves as professional breeders to the pejorative sense of the term, this word was chosen by the french administration describing as professional the one that does 2 litters per year or more.

The number of cats is an obligation for our breeding program to keep many carriers of cinnamon coming from our matings and have a parallel cheptel that allows us to progress in the type of our cats, to introduce a line...

We prefer to have more females and than they have only a litter per year and rest between every litter rather than to have females profitables that could raise 2 to 3 litters per year. We keep very quickly the girls that will replace their mothers. The mothers do in average 2 to 3 litters and are retired about 3 years. We want to offer them very quickly a pet life.

And no because we do not like them but exactly because we like each of our cats, we place our retired adults with persons that offer them a life out breeding, sofa, vacation, cuddly in the bed, exclusive love...

Thoughts
We thank all of those that welcomed a kitten or one of our retired adult.

A thought equally for our cats who left us in the sadness, going to a better world.

We do not raise dogs, the majority of them is sterilized, but we feel for the canine type a big interest.
